Sou Mariana, mãe de Bernardo de 03 anos, jornalista e viajante. Vou compartilhar a minha experiência ao longo desses anos de aprendizado na maternidade e viagens que mudaram a minha vida. Tudo é muito novo e pode parecer assustador e fazer com a que a gente se sinta presa, impotente e até com vontade de desistir dos nossos planos, hobbys e sonhos. Mas foi com coragem que mergulhei de cabeça na minha primeira viagem sozinha e me reencontrei como mulher e me conheci como mãe.
Mãe viajante? E pode?
Mães viajantes. Essa possibilidade para mim parecia algo bem distante que só aconteceria em reality show de famílias de surfistas que andavam pelo mundo com seus filhos. Ou em pessoas ricas que pudessem deixar as crianças com a babá ou levar ela junto pra garantir um passeio agradável. Isso porque lembro como hoje, nos primeiros dias de vida do meu filho, que me perguntava quando aquela dedicação exclusiva do meu tempo pra ele ia acabar. E um dia após o outro parecia que essa resposta não chegaria nunca pois cuidando dele sozinha em casa, eram em seus momentos de cochilo que eu precisava decidir se ia tomar banho, comer, escovar os dentes ou dormir um pouco também. Mas viajar, algo que eu sonhava e queria tanto fazer, ah isso era um sonho bem distante. Todo meu dinheiro, tempo e energias estavam voltados para aquele ser humaninho naquele momento.
A primeira viagem
Alguns meses depois, um pouco mais adaptada com minha rotina, com um bebê com um sono mais regulado e com uma licença maternidade prestes a chegar ao fim, recebi na minha caixa de e-mail uma mensagem que mudou minha vida: recebi um prêmio internacional por uma reportagem que fiz e com ele 15 dias de encontros e workshops nos Estados Unidos, tudo pago. Lembro desse momento em que mexia no computador com Bernardo no peito e ao mesmo tempo que pensava como seria me ausentar nesse tempo com um bebê de quatro meses de vida que ainda amamentava exclusivamente e de viajar sozinha onde finalmente poderia ficar só e ter uma noite de sono completa e conhecer o lugar que sempre sonhei: Nova York!
Aí vem o sentimento de culpa. Por estar feliz em ter um tempo só pra mim, em realizar meus sonhos e aproveitar minhas conquistas. Culpa por ter que deixar meu bebê em casa por 15 dias sem peito correndo o risco de interromper a amamentação que eu tinha planejado para no mínimo até os 06 meses de vida dele, o recomendado pela Organização Mundial de Saúde e o melhor pra uma criança crescer saudável. Mas aí veio a coragem e assim começou a minha trajetória de mãe viajante. Vieram outros prêmios, mais viagens, algumas com ele e outras sozinha. Mas quando ia queria deixar um pouco de mim com ele. Quando ele tinha só quatro meses, além do estoque de leite materno que deixei congelado com ajuda de uma prima que também doou, escrevi uma carta pra ele e deixei embaixo do seu travesseiro no berço. Uma forma de me sentir ali. Agora já um pouco maior faço calendários pra ele marcar os dias que faltam pra mamãe chegar.
Maternidade, viagens e descobertas
Saudade de muito mas autoconhecimento também. Esse meu afastamento da rotina de dentro de casa como mãe expandiu meus horizontes como mulher, o tempo de viagens sozinha me fez olhar mais pra dentro, me conhecer melhor e enxergar que o que eu acreditava nem sempre era o que eu queria.
Esse processo de autoconhecimento me fez amadurecer e decidir enfrentar um divórcio de um casamento que já não me fazia feliz. Me fez largar um emprego tóxico com pessoas tóxicas que não reconheciam meu potencial como profissional e que consumiam minha energia limitando minha criatividade e possibilidades de inovar e crescer.
Me fez uma mãe melhor que ao se conhecer e buscar a felicidade consegue aos trancos e barrancos criar um filho independente e seguro. Que dá tchau e oi com abraços, que confia em si mesmo e que me mostra com orgulho suas conquistas. Esse é meu Bê com 03 anos hoje e que sabe que tem uma mãe viajante que vai mas que volta sempre pra ele! E essa sou eu, que precisei de viajar pra voltar pra mim, pra me conhecer novamente e me reconstruir como mulher e me fazer como mãe.
Rede de apoio para a mãe viajante
Mas para que tudo isso acontecesse comigo, pra que eu pudesse viajar tranquila eu contei com uma rede de apoio de mulheres que ficavam com meu filho na minha ausência e com o pai da criança. Por isso se você que não é mãe mas chegou até aqui e esta lendo esse texto, permita que uma mãe possa ter essa experiência, que possa viajar só ou acompanhada de amigas e ter um tempo só pra ela. Esse tempo é muito importante pra gente, acredite em mim. E se você é mãe e tem com quem contar, se permita viajar com ou sem o pequeno, sei que vem a culpa, julgamentos e medo, mas no fim das contas são apenas alguns dias que fazer toda a diferença no seu crescimento pessoal e relacionamento com seu filho.

Amei! Me identifiquei muito! Viajei com meu filho 2 vezes para visitar minha família e uma vez para visitar uma amiga, é bem difícil viajar sozinha com um bebê mas vale a pena. Só agora, ele com 1 ano e 8 meses eu me dei uma viajem sozinha, coisa que eu fazia todos os anos e senti muita falta! Foi muito bom, o começo também senti essa culpa, mas foi bom pra eu me curtir, precisamos lembrar que somos mulheres também, temos hobbies e gostos, além de sermos mães.
